Facility Testing, Adjusting, Balancing (TAB)

Heating, ventilating & air conditioning systems, along with associated building automation systems, have become more complex than ever. The correct adjustment and balance of fluid flow distribution, with respect to design intent, must be established as to insure the most efficient operation of a new or modified facility mechanical system.

TAB - Historical Perspective

Prior to the late 1950’s, all adjustments to HVAC fluid flows (air and hydronic) were carried out by the installing contractor. As facility systems became more complex, and designers demanded final construction conditions more in line with design intent, the scope and magnitude of this work grew beyond what could be carried out by installers. At this time the need for qualified independent testing services groups became apparent. That's where Pro-MEC fits in, we're a group of independent HVAC testing, adjusting and balancing pioneers with the intent to provide a professional standardization of the HVAC testing, adjusting and balancing process.

Pro-MEC, a independent TAB group, strives to provide owners and design teams with the unbiased quality assurance required.
